We live in central North Carolina, we moved here about a year ago and built a home on a piece of property we bought. My wife and I have been married 10 years and have 2 young children. We have been kicked around plenty in our employment and financial lives and want to take a little more responsibility for our health, education and ability to live less dependently on a system that seems to continually take from us. We have been feeling this way for a few years now which is one of the things that led us out here. Its time for us to take it up a notch and start learning some skills, making ourselves more prepared and begin to take more responsibility for our own lives. Our intention is to document that journey since we are learning from scratch.
